Andriea and Tharani - MyEdSpace helped my daughter 100%

“100% MyEdSpace helped my daughter”

Andriea and Tharani’s MyEdSpace story

Before discovering MyEdSpace, doing schoolwork at home often meant chaos, frustration and a lot of Googling, from both mum (Tharani) and daughter (Andriea).

“Whenever she asked for help, I couldn’t help Andriea,” Tharani laughs softly.

“The way I explained things wasn’t comfortable for her. Even my slang confused her. She always said, ‘Mummy, it’s completely different. That’s not how they teach at school.’ So she would go and search everything herself, spending so much time online trying to figure things out.”

"That's not how they teach in school"

Even with face-to-face tuition, nothing seemed to click.

“I tried two different tutors. It was £35 per session, plus 20 minutes of driving each way. She’d sit there for 30 minutes doing old papers, then they’d tell her where she was weak. But I didn’t see much difference. She was tired, the travelling was too much, and honestly… it wasn’t helpful.”

Everything changed when Andriea started MyEdSpace.

“It’s completely the other side now, the positive side,” Tharani says. “She understands the concepts, she can explain them, and she’s getting good grades and feedback at school. Every week she gets at least three positive comments. The teachers say she’s so attentive. She feels so confident. 100%, MyEdSpace helped my daughter.”

A first impression that turned into conviction

When she first signed up, Tharani admits she hesitated.

“£800–£900 a year felt huge. My friends even asked, ‘Are you sure?’ I thought, maybe I made a mistake.”

But as Andriea began attending lessons, the doubt disappeared.

“She’s doing more than two hours a day sometimes. The planning is amazing. There are no classes during summer, she has weekends free, and everything is recorded. Even at midnight she can revise. Face-to-face could never give that. Now I tell my friends it’s worth every penny. Every. Penny.”

"I tell my friends it's worth every penny. Every. Penny."

A daughter transformed - “I feel confident now”

The biggest change she’s seen is in Andriea’s confidence.

“Before, whenever relatives came home, she went to her room. She didn’t talk. She spent so much time studying because she didn’t know what she didn’t know. Now she’s helping her friends. If her classmates come over, she explains things to them. That gives her so much confidence.”

Andriea joins the conversation with a shy smile but quickly lights up when talking about her subjects.

She’s studying Maths with Neil, physics with Dario, Biology with Joe, Chemistry with Manny and English with Alex. “They’re all brilliant,” she says immediately. “But my favourite has to be Biology. I love learning about the human body. I want to be a neurosurgeon, to get into surgery and learn more.”

Before MyEdSpace, school often left her feeling behind.

“I was overwhelmed. I didn’t have revision materials. I just searched things on Google. And sometimes our teachers were absent, so I missed topics. My friends went to tuition, but I didn’t understand things properly.”

Normal lessons are noisy. MyEdSpace is clear.

Her first MyEdSpace lesson changed everything.

“It was Maths with Neil. He explained everything so clearly, in a fun way. I could see how much he loves Maths, through my device. If I had questions, he answered straight away. And the mods help too. It was such a big difference.”

She also loves the upgraded MyEdSpace chat system: “The teachers can see my real name now. I can ask questions live. It’s really useful.”

Andriea describes school lessons as “noisy, rushed and stressful.”

“In school we make our own notes, so there’s pressure. We never annotate properly. But MyEdSpace gives us the workbook, and teachers go through everything. In English, Alex read the whole poem, explained every line, gave context, everything. My English grades went up because of him. He even taught us how to structure paragraphs. It just makes sense.”

Her grades tell the story

“I used to get 32 or 35 in Maths tests. Now I get 42 out of 43 - a Grade 9. That’s all thanks to Neil. The homework, the focus, everything.”

Her Chemistry grades have been transformed too.

“I wasn’t a big fan of atomic bonding before. I didn’t understand the elements. But Manny made it fun - the Kahoots at the end make everything more exciting.”

“I talk about MyEdSpace a lot to my friends,” she laughs. “I’ve convinced one so far, I’m proud!”

She’s even subscribed to every teacher on YouTube. “It reminds me to study. And if I’m stuck, I go to their videos.”

For Tharani and Andriea, MyEdSpace didn’t just improve grades, it changed a whole learning experience, built confidence, and opened doors. Or, as Tharani puts it simply:

“Out of 10? 11,” she jokes. “Every penny is worth it. My daughter is confident, happy, learning, what more could I ask?”
