Our live lessons take place on YouTube Live and just like a university lecture, we teach hundreds of students together, with no limits on class sizes. While this might seem unusual, having a larger group actually fosters a sense of community. The students motivate one another, making the learning experience more fun.

Learning alongside their peers encourages more questions and collaboration, boosting confidence, engagement, and energy levels. Vital to effective learning, these can all be lost in a more intimidating 1-to-1 setting where anxious students can feel ‘put on the spot’.
Our teachers are experts in providing safe, engaging learning environments, where there is zero-judgment and questions are encouraged. Plus, all student cameras are switched off, so no student appears on screen.
We’ve chosen our specific way of delivering lessons to ensure that there’s no pressure to speak on camera or in front of the class – students can participate through the chat and ask questions anonymously.
And, we’ve found that this makes all students substantially more likely to contribute by asking and answering questions, while also providing a 'strength in numbers' feeling of reassurance and all the other benefits associated with collaborative learning.
That’s shown in the volume of questions and messages our students send during the average live lesson. In a traditional classroom, the average student puts their hand up to contribute at most once or twice a lesson - with MyEdSpace that skyrockets to 25 messages, creating an incredibly interactive, friendly, atmosphere.
Additionally, the pro package includes a 1-1 Personal Mentor who you can contact outside of lesson time, which is not available in the Standard package. Support is provided by WhatsApp message to the number provided on the student dashboard.
Our mentor team have all been trained by our teachers, all excelled in their A-levels and all currently attend top UK universities like Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London. We’ve found that our mentors' similar age makes it easier for students to connect with them, building trust and understanding.
Unlike with a private tutor, where progress is difficult to track, with MyEdSpace, we make sure every student is working at a level that’s right for them.
Each month parents receive a progress report, while students can see their course progress via the ‘Progress’ section on their student dashboard. If we (MyEdSpace, parent and student) all feel that a student is struggling, or not being pushed hard enough, we can adjust the year group or course level up or down accordingly.
