Free A-level Physics resources

21.11.2025

The step up from GCSE Physics to A-level can be a daunting one, but, when you have access to the UK’s top Physics teachers and high-quality resources, friction and pressure are reduced, and momentum builds.

To help students become A*, Head of Physics, Brook Edgar, has created a series of free resources covering everything on the AQA A-level Physics curriculum.

Split into 13 topics, you can find step-by-step video explanations, detailed revision notes and practice questions - in short, everything you need to walk into your exam feeling ready and full of confidence.

A-level Physics curriculum is split into 13 categories

For example, here’s Brook on ‘Florescence’ and everything you need to know about how fluorescent tubes work, in five minutes.

Then you can check out the detailed notes on ‘Energy levels and excitation’, the make-up of the tubes themselves and test what you’ve learned with the practice question;

A-level fluoresence question. ‘A gas initially has electrons within atoms in the n=4 energy level that de-excite to the n=1 level. How many frequencies of light are observed? 3, 4, 5 or 6?*

While these notes are invaluable, this is just the start.

To give yourself the best possible chance of achieving an A or A* in your A-level Physics exams, we’d recommend you sign up now for our Year 12, or Year 13 A-level Physics courses.

Alongside high-quality resources like these, on the Year 12 course you’ll enjoy two live 60-minute lessons with Dario Papavassiliou - an experienced teacher who achieved a PhD in Complexity Science and Physics, following his 1st Class Honours in Physics - per week. Our Year 13 course then includes two 90-minute lessons per week with Brook.

You can see the benefits of signing up in the results our most recent cohort of students achieved last year.

  • Compared against non-MyEdSpace students, double the numbers of MyEdSpace A-level Physics students achieved an A or A* (67%), compared to the national figure of only 32%

  • Meanwhile, Over half of our 2025 A-level students have been admitted into Russell Groups universities (56%) compared to only 27% across the UK

With results like those, it’s a no-brainer to sign up and get started ASAP.
