Science Teacher

We are looking for an outstanding, qualified Science Teacher who can teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 to become our next full-time teacher at MyEdSpace. MyEdSpace is an EdTech start-up that is making a world-class education truly accessible to all. We hire the best teachers in the country and build them into educational influencers across all social media platforms. With this influence, we can make their teaching accessible to the whole country (and we are now branching out into different geographies) via affordable online live lessons, at a rate 10-20x cheaper than alternatives.

You will be a leading face of the company and will be responsible for designing and delivering the curriculum of your subject in high-quality lessons to students multiple times per week, via interactive, online live-streams. You will be required to partake in company-wide marketing efforts, including building social media content and being featured in adverts in order to promote MyEdSpace and your course. You will report directly to our Co-Founders.

This position is a full-time position. We are looking for an individual that can teach one Science subject at A-level (Chemistry / Biology / Physics) and can also teach all of GCSE Science. We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual. We want someone who is excited about changing environments from a traditional teaching/school setting to a startup where you can teach and make a difference at a much larger scale.

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive online lessons via live streams - interact with your class and answer questions as they arise
• Prepare all necessary materials to deliver your course, including your full curriculum plan for each key stage, lesson plans, presentations, homeworks, video solutions to your homework questions etc
• You will be responsible for the ongoing creation of short-form educational content on your subject that can be used across social media platforms to attract students and parents
• Collaborate with the Marketing Team to produce creative campaigns that can be used for advertising
• Interact with students / their parents in order to better understand our customers, sell to potential leads, and provide feedback to help improve our product offering
• Complete ad-hoc tasks as directed by our Co-Founders to drive company initiatives

• Qualified to degree level or above in one or more Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Physics), - achieving top grades, both at University and at A-level
• At least 1 year of completed teaching experience after finishing 2 years of ECT - preferably with experience in leading a Key Stage within a school and teaching online classes
• Excellent knowledge of the upper Secondary curriculum requirements for Science - experience in marking for exam boards preferred
• Ability to teach science throughout KS3 and KS4 and offer either one or more of: Biology, Chemistry or Physics at A level.
• Willingness to develop your own personal brand on social media - we will help you and give you the tools necessary to succeed but you have to be comfortable with the idea of being turned into an influencer
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
• Someone who is results-oriented and wants to grow with MyEdSpace and build a business that can really change the education landscape in the UK
