You have the choice to mentor one of the 3 levels:
A-Level, Y9-11 or Y5-8
A-Level: You can mentor one of Maths, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Y9-11: You can mentor one of Maths, English, or Science
Y5-8: You mentor all of Maths, English, and Science
Responsibilities
Moderate lessons.
Follow-up with mentees weekly.
Provide monthly feedback to mentees, including assessments.
Aim for prompt response times, particularly during evenings and weekends.
Provide quality answers and guidance, working through problems with mentees.
Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality interactions.
Year Group Specific Requirements
A-Level Mentoring: A* in the chosen subject at A-Level & 9/8 at GCSE.
Y9-11 Mentoring: A*/A in Maths at A-Level & 9/8 at GCSE for Maths mentors or A*/A in 2 science subjects at A-Level & 9/8 at GCSE in all sciences for Science mentors or A*/A in a humanities subject at A-Level & 9/8 in GCSE English Literature and Language for English mentors
Y5-8 Mentoring: A*/A in Maths, 1 Science, and another A-Level, grades 9/8 in Maths, English, and all 3 Sciences.
General Requirements
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students.
Passionate about student achievement.
Preferably with some tutoring or teaching experience.
